Reinventing Children’s Health: Game-Changing Researchers Meet with Parliamentarians to Present Pediatric Research and Innovation

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OTTAWA, May 16, 2023 – The Parliamentary Health Research Caucus (PHRC) and Research Canada are proud to host Reinventing Children’s Health through Game-Changing Pediatric Research and Innovation. This invitation-only event, sponsored by Novo Nordisk Canada, Innovative Medicines Canada and BioCanRx, will feature fifteen incredible health researchers and innovators from across Canada who will share their game-changing work under five sub-themes covering topics such as the long-term impacts of COVID-19, mental health and pediatric clinical trials.

Children are NOT “small adults.” They are different from their parents and other adults and require different diagnostics, therapies and treatments. Moreover, improving children’s health and well-being has far-reaching implications for adult health and reducing the growing burden of noncommunicable, chronic adult diseases. This kiosk-style buffet luncheon will give Parliamentarians and special guests the opportunity to meet with some of the of the best and brightest pediatric health researchers and innovators to better understand this fascinating area of research.

Thank you to the all the generous Sponsors of this Parliamentary Health Research Caucus luncheon, including the Child Development Institute, the Kids Brain Health Network, the Provincial Health Services Authority and the University of Regina.
