Parliamentary Reception on How A.I. is Reshaping Healthcare

PARLIAMENTARY HEALTH RESEARCH CAUCUS RECEPTION TO HIGHLIGHT HOW ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IS RESHAPING HEALTH CARE IN CANADA

OTTAWA, APRIL 26, 2018 — Canada is a world leader in artificial intelligence and machine learning, technologies that have the potential to solve global challenges, like climate change, world economic crises and aging populations. Advanced computer applications will have far-reaching implications on health care, aiding in the development of new drugs and diagnostics with the power to reliably predict and intercept diseases before symptoms arise.

Research Canada and the Parliamentary Health Research Caucus is hosting an invite-only reception to introduce parliamentarians to many health care experts, innovators and scientists, who use cutting-edge AI and ML techniques to improve survival outcomes among patients and to address pressing issues in mental health and rehabilitation and solving genetic mysteries.
